Comes from a talented sporting family. One brother, Glenn, is a former New Zealand test cricketer while another, Brian, was a hockey international. Graduated from Oklahoma University and won 1984 New Zealand PGA title. Australia’s Rookie of the Year in 1985. Passionate about politics and journalism. A wild card selection by Peter Thomson for the International Team who beat the USA in the Presidents Cup at Royal Melbourne in December 1998.
